Participating agencies outline media opportunities during Cleveland maritime security exercise

CLEVELAND — Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Cleveland, the Cleveland Division of Police, and other law enforcement and emergency response agencies are providing details this afternoon regarding what media may see if they attend a maritime securty exercise at the Coast Guard's Cleveland Moorings facility, scheduled to be held Wednesday.

Media in attendance will see a coordinated response to a simulated maritime security incident.

NOTE:
The facility's traditional entrance (on E. 9th Street, across from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame) is closed due to construction.  To gain access, turn right before the facility, on Marginal Road, and take the first available left to reach the temporary gate.

WHEN The exercise is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the first visual activities expected soon after.  Media is asked to arrive about 10:30.

Media interested in attending must RSVP to the 9th District Public Affairs Office by 9 a.m. Wednesday.
