SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Mar. 14, 2007) -- The Mackinaw (WLBB-30) cleared a track for the cutter Katmai Bay along the St. Marys River to the mouth of Whitefish Bay March 14, where the Mackinaw concluded its three weeks of ice trials testing the ship's capabilities.
