HEADLINE HEREU.S. COAST GUARD CELEBRATES 218TH BIRTHDAY CLEVELAND - U.S. Coast Guard men and women will celebrate the service's 218th birthday on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008. The U.S. Coast Guard has a proud history of service to our nation, and through modernization, we will be able to increase our responsiveness and effectiveness, and meet the challenges of the 21st century. The 33-foot Special Purpose Craft - Law Enforcement boat is one of the assets Station Buffalo has acquired to better improve its response capabilities. The 33-foot SPC-LE boat will allow the Coast Guard to better execute their missions; and therefore better serve, secure and protect America nationally and locally. The media is invited to see the 33-foot SPC-LE boat and learn how the improved capabilities allows Station Buffalo to better serve the people in their area of responsibility.
