Operation Channel Watch2
Station Belle Isle and members of the Wayne County Sheriff's Dept. and the Detroit Police Underwater Recovery Team conducted a joint boarding of a recreational vessel as part of Operation Channel Watch along the Detroit River, Thursday, July 31, 2008. The Coast Guard conducted an ICS-organized event involving several federal, state and local agencies to increase the law enforcement presence near and on Lake St. Clair, including conducting random/targeted boardings.
