U.S. Coast Guard seeks public comment on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking establishing a regulated navigation area and safety zone on the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal CLEVELAND - The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking public comment on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking establishing a regulated navigation area and safety zone on the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal, near Romeoville, Ill. The proposed regulated navigation area and safety zone places navigational and operational restrictions on all vessels transiting the navigable waters located adjacent to and over the Army Corps of Engineers electrical dispersal fish barrier system.
