U.S. and Canadian Coast Guard search for overdue sailing vessel CLEVELAND - The U.S. Coast Guard and Canadian Coast Guard are searching for a sailing vessel participating in the Lake Ontario 300 race, which has missed a required check-in with race officials. The Sailing Vessel “Kvack” was last heard from while transiting north of Rochester, N.Y. Coast Guard Stations Rochester and Niagara as well as a Canadian Coast Guard Griffin Helicopter are searching for the sailing vessel.
