Air Station Traverse City prepares for annual standardization visit. TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. -- U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City will be conducting an annual standardization and certification visit from Monday, September 21 to Friday, October 2, 2009. Instructors from the Coast Guard Aviation Training Center in This training requires Coast Guard helicopters to routinely fly over East/ This year’s Standardization Pilots are LT Chris Bonner and LT Rob Tucker. The Rescue Swimmers are Chief Petty Officer Eric Bednorz and Petty Officer Scott Rady, and the Flight Mechanics are Petty Officers Scott Miller and Dan Justice. These six are some of the finest Coast Guard pilots and aircrew members and are part of an instructor cadre tasked with training all HH-65 Dolphin aviators and air stations in the Coast Guard. The pilots and crewmembers have been busy preparing for this year’s visit and hope to continue their outstanding performance displayed in previous visits.
